We are ACCEPTING ORDERS - and have built up an inventory. Just email me and tell me what you need. You must order direct by emailing me. We do not have the STORE turned ON here since I need to correspond with you to make sure we have your order correct.
Obtaining RAW materials for our antennas has become a major hurdle. HRO's (Ham Radio Outlet- via Seminal Wiring and Cable) supplier of our
custom twinlead is low on copper. Apparently raw copper comes from South America. The price quotes now for twinlead is $0.46 per foot. This is 2x the price from a few months ago.
Our connectors and adapters must now be shipped DHL EXPRESS when coming from Asian - otherwise the materials never arrive.
They sit in a shipping container on board ship in Long Beach CA. With DHL EXPRESS we are paying over $200 for the postage on each shipment. Prior to the pandemic - cost for postage was about $60.
We have had to raise prices slightly due to increase cost in raw materials, DHL Express postage and also our ability to meet high demand.
The price of pvc pipe has now 4x from a few years ago. Lowe's 200 psi pvc for 10ft section is now $6.14 on the West Coast.
I use to purchase this same pipe for $1.60. The #14 copper wire we purchase for the GMRS 5dB gain antenna use to sell for
$34 for 500ft. It is now $70.
Again thanks for supporting our group.
Antennas are used as our only a fundraiser for my RF Wireless group at UC Santa Cruz - Silicon Valley. My primary job is teaching at the University.
Thanks for your understanding.
Ed Fong
